Founded in 1932, our group is a welcoming community for photographers of all levels in the Washington, DC area. Whether you’re just picking up a camera or you’ve been in the industry for years, there’s a place for you here.

We believe growth happens best together. Through educational programs, hands-on workshops, inspiring presentations, and practical seminars, we help members strengthen their skills, stretch their creativity, and build confidence at every stage of their photography journey.

But it’s not all classes and critiques. We also love connecting. From social events to photography meet-ups, this is a space to build friendships, share ideas, and feel supported by people who truly get what you do.

Our annual print competition gives members the chance to showcase their work, earn awards, and receive thoughtful critiques that help push their photography to the next level.
